  BERGAMO. Diego was 47 years old, with a daughter and a job: he was a rescuer from 118 in Bergamo, one of the provinces most affected by the Coronavirus emergency, with almost 900 infected. Diego died this morning after contracting Covid19. His colleagues say that "he died within a day and a half, despite being healthy", because "if you work as a rescuer, he is in good health and you are constantly monitored".

  The news of his death - Diego is currently the youngest victim of Covid 19 - was given this morning by the health union Adl Cobas Lombardia. Spokesman Riccardo Germani wrote a post on Facebook: "Diego was a trained worker, a rescuer who has always used personal protective equipment, was not elderly and had no other diseases". And he added: "He was one of 700 health workers, doctors, nurses, rescuers, oss who have already been contaminated." The union then made a request: "In Diego's name we ask as Healthcare workers extraordinary protection measures for all rescuers and health workers, who should always wear full protective equipment from Covid 19. We ask that all private clinics affiliated make available beds for those infected by Covid19 ».
