In Call of Duty: Warzone, it is clear that higher core counts are beneficial. Every increase in core count has yielded us additional performance. We can even see hyperthreading deliver a significant boost to Warzone's lower percentile framerates, a factor that makes the game feel a lot smoother.
If you want steady 60+ FPS gameplay, any processor with four strong cores or more should be sufficient, but users of 144Hz or aster displays should invest in a modern processor with six cores or more.

With Warzone, Call of Duty's performance focus shifts more onto heavily onto the CPU side of the performance equation. On page 3 of this analysis, you should see that every increase in core count resulted in higher framerates in our test system. Having six CPU cores delivered a clear performance benefit over using four cores, making high core count processors a must for high framerate action within Warzone.
