  For over a month now I have been searching for a solution to the issue of an insanely slow network connection when using a bridged connection for a virtual machine.

  After reading hundreds of post and trying many different things I finally came across a solution that was berried in the middle of a post. To make it easier for everyone to find I figured I would post it here.

  1. On the host machine go to the network connection that is being used for the bridge
  2. Go to the properties of that network connection and choose to Configure the hardware
  3. Choose the Advanced tab
  4. Turn off Large Send Offload

  NOTE: I did disable all the offload options for IPv6 since I’m not using IPv6.

  I hope this helps someone who is in the same position I was in.
